PICTURES :)

Above are pictures from my first week in Costa Rica.  I've talked about these things but have been unable to add the pictures.  Many were taken by our wonderful CPI Chaparone, Sonia.  I'm so glad she has been along to get so many great shots!

At the top is a picture of me helping a student at the Public school in Heredia (San Joaquin de Flores was the name of the school) as she reads a conversation in English.

Next are pictures of our cooking class at CPI.  We are first cutting up all the vegetables and then making the tortillas. Mmmm.. very good.

The picture of the two sloths is actually from our first weekend in Costa Rica at La Paz Waterfalls. It was just too good not to add.

Then there are pictures from Poas Volcano, the first Volcano we visited which we were able to see up close.  There is also a picture of when the clouds came rolling in, restricting our view.

Next is the path through the forest which took us to the lagoon near Poas Volcano.

There is also a picture of me with my group for a science lesson at San Joaquin de Flores.

Next are pictures of the two people who came to talk to us from an Indigenous tribe of Costa Rica.  They showed us how they create their art which they sell.  Dr. Powell tried out creating a mask.

Next is a picture of myself, Dr. Huber and Dr. Powell in Spanish class.
Following this are pictures from La Carpio.  We are sitting in morning circle with the preschoolers as they sing songs and dance. There are 3 shots on the streets of La Carpio.  Then there are a few pictures of another preschool Gail created, I'm in the background putting up some gel window clings we brought along, adding some color to a not so pleasant window to look out of.

Next is a picture of Shelby and I helping make bunkbeds and then the picture of the part of the bunk bed we were working on which went under the mattress.  Last is a picture of our group in La Carpio, the others are the people who help make the bunkbeds for distribution to the families of La Carpio.

I have much much more to add, hopefully I will soon!!
